“이 책은 1960년대에 제작된 한국영화에 대한 비평글 모음이 아니라 당시에 제작된 영화가 담고 있거나 반영하고 있는 시대정신, 문화적 현상, 지극히 사적인 기억까지 자유롭게 이야기하는 다양한 형식의 글들을 소개한다. 참여 필진들은 영화 속에서 관객의 주목을 받지 못했던 어떤 작은 소품, 지나가는 행인의 모습, 또는 길거리에서 희미하게 흘러나오는 어떤 음악이나 소음처럼 하찮은 것들에 대한사유를 이야기하거나, 영화 속 공간, 의미 없는 대사들 같은주변적 요소들로부터 시작된 에세이 또는 짧은 단편소설을 쓰기도 한다.”

<The Puzzle of Films That Come to Mind: Flashback_Corners of Seoul> one of the public art <<Reflect Project>> related programs, has been published. This anthology book is edited by Eunhee Kim, an independent curator and filmmaker, and published by shhh. 

<The Puzzle of Films That Come to Mind: Flashback_Corners of Seoul> is not designed as a collection of critical essays on Korean movies in the 1960s. Rather, it is organized as a constellation of diverse texts on different themes that range from the Zeitgeist that are reflected in the movies of the period and cultural phenomena of the time to very personal memories related to the movies from the period. The contributed texts take diverse forms. There are essays about thoughts on small and trifling things – a small prop in a movie that has been overlooked by the viewers, the look of a passerby, or faint music or noise coming from the street in a movie. There are also essays and short novels that take the initiative from peripheral elements such as space in movies and lines without much meaning.
