치명타 《생활공간 운용 연습가》
〈생활공간 운용 연습가〉는 '정리정돈'이라는 일상적 기술을 출발점으로 삼아, 상대적으로 제한된 자원과 불안정한 환경에서 살아가는 사회적 소수자의 생활공간을 함께 재배열한다. 작가는 스스로 '연습가'의 역할을 자처하며, 당사자와 함께 일상을 지속 가능한 방식으로 조직한다. 나아가 예술이 사회적 소수자의 일상을 유지하고 재구성하는 '현장적 기술'로 기능할 가능성을 모색한다.

치명타
치명타는 사회적 소수자들의 삶을 통해 한국 사회의 불평등한 구조와 배제의 방식을 탐구해왔다. 작가는 하나의 문제를 단발적인 사건으로 다루기보다, 개별 프로젝트를 통해 서로 연결된 사회적 조건들이 어떻게 반복되고 변형되는지를 추적한다. 사회적 재난, 장애, 젠더 및 성소수자, 노동 환경 등 서로 다른 맥락을 경유하지만, 작업은 공통적으로 소수자들이 기존의 사회 시스템 안에서 어떤 방식으로 취약해지고 밀려나는가에 대한 질문으로 이어진다.
작업은 주제별 프로젝트 형식으로 진행된다. 특정한 문제의식을 중심으로 일정 기간 탐구를 이어가며, 회화와 영상, 드로잉 등 다양한 매체를 주제에 맞게 전환하며 시각화한다. 초기 작업에서는 차별적인 기존 사회 질서를 전복하거나 대안적 세계관을 상상하는 방식에 집중했다면, 이후에는 사회적 재난을 중심으로 더욱 취약해진 삶의 조건을 드러내며 애도와 추모의 실천을 기록해왔다.
최근에는 작업의 시선을 일상적인 삶의 조건으로 확장하고 있다. 생존을 유지하기 위한 최소한의 필수 요소와 이를 가능하게 만드는 실질적 기술로서 예술의 역할에 주목한다. '정리정돈'이라는 기술을 통해, 예술이 소수자 삶의 기반에 실질적으로 개입하는 방식을 탐구하고 있다.
Critical Hit, Living Space Management Practitioner
Starting from the everyday skill of "organizing," Living Space Management Practitioner rearranges the domestic spaces of marginalized individuals living in resource-constrained and unstable environments. Stepping into the role of a "practitioner," the artist Critical Hit collaborates directly with participants to organize their daily lives in a sustainable manner. Through this process, the project explores the possibility of art functioning as a "field-based technology"—one that actively maintains and reconstructs the everyday lives of the socially vulnerable.

Critical Hit
Critical Hit has explored the unequal structures and mechanisms of exclusion in Korean society through the lives of marginalized individuals. The artist does not approach individual problems as isolated events, but instead traces how interconnected social conditions are repeated and transformed through distinct projects. Her work engages with different contexts such as social disasters, disability, gender and sexual minority issues, and labor environments, while consistently raising questions about how marginalized individuals become vulnerable and are pushed to the margins within existing social systems.
The artist’s practice is organized into thematic projects. Centering on specific critical concerns, the artist develops each project over a defined period of time and visualizes inquiries by selecting appropriate media, including painting, video, and drawing. In early work, the artist focused on subverting discriminatory social orders and imagining alternative worldviews, while in later work the artist turned to social disasters, documenting the conditions of increasingly precarious lives and the practices of mourning and commemoration that emerge from them.
More recently, Critical Hit ’s work has expanded toward the conditions of everyday life. The artist attends to the essential elements required to sustain life and the practical techniques that make this possible, focusing on the role of art as a means of survival. Through the practice of ‘organizing,’ the artist explores how art can intervene in the foundational conditions of marginalized lives.
